To provide strategic direction, and leadership to the business section in order to ensure the effective implementation of strategic, business growth, and operational plans and achieve the defined revenue targets and market growth
Strategic Contribution ▪ Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
People Management ▪ Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting individual objectives, managing performance, and developing, and motivating staff to maximize sectional performance. ▪ Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned department, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensuring the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
Budgeting and Financial Planning ▪ Manage the preparation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures ▪ Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
Business Development ▪ Assess and approve business opportunities for expansion coordinating with key commercial parties in line with the Group strategy to ensure the banking growth and development. ▪ Develop banking products policies & procedures and the operational manual taking into consideration Sharia’s principles, CBI’s rules & regulations, & market requirements for Banking, and the unconventional structured finance for the division.
Brand Management ▪ Develop the value proposition and deliver an effective operating model for the business to increase market share and profitability. ▪ Promote and build the brand of the subsidiaries in order to create a strong image, convey the right messages, and eventually enhance market share
Formulate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes for Banking operations, agree on overall budget and targets for the teams, and allocate the same in order to provide guidelines to drive overall banking performance. ▪ Manage the monitoring and reviewing of operational and financial performance of section and lead them to short-medium term goals in order to ensure targets are achieved in line with Shariah laws and frameworks
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification ▪ Bachelor or master’s degree Minimum Experience ▪ A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Banking Industry, of which at least 3 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a similar function
