Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

Job Purpose:

The Relationship Manager (RM) – Corporate Banking is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering customized financial solutions, and ensuring portfolio profitability and risk management in line with the bank’s strategy and regulatory requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate clients (mid-sized, large corporates, GREs, etc.).

  • Build long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing tailored banking solutions.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell a wide range of banking products (lending, trade finance, treasury, cash management, etc.).

  • Conduct regular client visits, prepare call reports, and ensure timely follow-ups on client requests.

2. Credit Analysis & Risk Management:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of credit proposals including financial analysis, cash flow modeling, risk assessment, and structuring of credit facilities.

  • Monitor the credit quality of the portfolio to identify early warning signals and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.

  • Ensure timely renewals, reviews, and compliance with approved credit terms and covenants.

  • Collaborate with Risk, Credit, and Compliance teams to ensure robust credit decisions and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related field (MBA or professional certifications like CFA is a plus).

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, preferably in the UAE
