ROLE PURPOSE
– T o set up and manage the non -IT category under VMCP department including Facilities Management, Real Estate Projects, Administration and General Services.
– To deliver an optimized service, quality and cost offering to the customers of Procurement (both internal and externally)
-To recognize, understand and contribute towards the long-term objectives of VMCP and to support the HO-VMCP inn the execution of the Procurement Business transformation Plans
-To deputize for the Head of Department and manage the team’s performance and deliverables across assigned spend categories
Key Accountabilities of the role
– Manage & deliver a professional Procurement service, consistently and fairly, in line with the corporate policies and the encourages a climate of openness, trust ,empowerment, integrity and reliability
– Develop or participate in developing Procurement Policies and procedures, and ensure continuous improvement of the same
– Promote utilizing advanced technology to optimize/automate conduction of procurement activities
-Develop or participate in developing departmental staffing plans
– Identify and implement category market research plans, demand challenge, Vendor base rationalization & supply chain risk management
– Implement advanced procurement techniques (Just I time, agility, feasibility, efficiency, effectiveness & waste-elimination activities)
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:
- Minimum – bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree / Masters is a plus
- CIPS / equivalent accreditation
- Project Management accreditation
- Business Arabic and English – Verbal and written
