Job Details
JOB PURPOSE:
To design, implement, and maintain comprehensive operational policies and procedures ensuring the bank’s activities comply with QATAR Central Bank regulations, internal control frameworks, and international banking standards. The role is responsible for standardizing operations, mitigating risks, and enhancing process efficiency across all business and support functions.
Policy & Procedure Development:
- Develop, update, and manage all operational policies and procedures SLAs in line with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and bank internal regulations.
- Coordinate with each department to ensure procedures reflect current operations, technology, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all procedures and SLAs are written clearly, structured professionally, and version controlled.
- Establish a Policy Governance Framework defining review frequency, approval process, and document management standards.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor updates from QCB, and relevant international standards (e.g., Basel III, FATF, IFRS, AML/CFT) to assess impact on bank operations.
- Ensure that operational policies incorporate all local regulatory directives such as circulars, guidelines, and reporting standards.
- Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Audit to ensure proper alignment between policy, regulation, and internal control.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory compliance, and process management.
- Familiarity with core banking systems and workflow tools is an advantage.
