Manager – Corporate and International Tax

Job Purpose:

Ensure the implementation and management of Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and Global Minimum Tax (Pillar 2) for the group.

Assisting the AVP – Corporate tax with various (tax) projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the AVP Corporate Tax in managing corporate tax, and transfer pricing matters for the Group.
  • Manage the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax (Pillar 2) rules, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessment and control of all corporate and international tax matters.
  • Ensures compliance with local corporate tax laws, international tax regulations and Transfer Pricing regulations (Master / Local File, CbCR reporting etc.).
  • Support finance with transfer pricing implementation and maintenance and ensuring that proper transfer pricing documentation is maintained
  • Prepare Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) compliance and reporting.
  • Assist in liaising with (internal & external) stakeholders to ensure full collaboration and understanding on critical tax relevant topics.
  • Create, implement and maintain a system to track tax projects.
  • Project management of various tax projects and corporate tax audits and maintain project documentation.
  • Provide tax advisory assistance on M&A and restructuring projects.
  • Formulate and manage the tax strategy and manage the tax risk of the bank
  • Supports the team with relevant workshops/training throughout the year to keep business up to date on tax compliance regulations
  • Stay up to date with GCC tax developments, research complex tax issues, prepare technical memos
  • Monitor changes in the Tax environment to understand the impact on the current day-to-day business operations, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Supporting in developing, implementing and tax repository and tax digitalization tools

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in Finance
  • Professional Tax Qualification such as Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA/ACA/ATT) or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years in a corporate tax role or equivalent (Tax) accounting experience (big 4 or in-house experience preferred)
  • Good understanding of corporate and international tax law concepts and processes
  • Knowledge of IFRS principles, including (tax) accounting IAS12 is preferred
