This position will be responsible for evaluating and improving data quality in the context of business reporting and customer-centric analytics. Work with various Banks Business units, Bank’s Compliance and Governance to identify and define the critical data elements of the bank. Define and develop Data Quality Framework to measure, track and monitor critical data elements across the bank. Work closely with I.T system owners and data stewards to ensure data quality standards are agreed, communicated and adopted throughout the data life cycle. Collaborate with IT to identify and prioritize opportunities to remediate data. Additionally partner with Group Data Governance and lead the bank’s efforts on implementing group wide data quality and data governance best practices specific to bank;s data projects. Create and maintain documentation of the flow of corporate data between systems, especially for data that is governed by regulatory requirements.
Candidates with Statistics / Engineering / Economics education background would be preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering or related discipline required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Must have at least 6-10 years of total experience, with at least 4 years of banking experience in back end operations function with focus on business process improvement preferred
Strong experience in one of the following:
BPM (Business Process Management)
Understanding of data modeling and implementation
Some experience with database design, business rules and data warehousing
Strong Project Management experience with Quality Assurance focus on all deliverables
Candidate with hands-on experience on one of data mining/analytics interfaces preferred. Eg. SQL, Informatica, SAS, etc.
