ROLE PURPOSE:

– To deepen and institutionalize effective ‘control and governance’ across Vendor Management and Centralized Procurement operating model and support the HoD meet the strategic objectives of the bank including but not limited to the following:

  • Responsibility to ensure effective control and governance within VMCP’s operating model including policy and procedures and procurement technology.
  • Ownership of Outsourcing Policy and drive adoption, strict adherence across the lifecycle.
  • Build, effective proactive reporting and dashboards to increase control and governance.
  • Build effective internal relationships to drive synergies and awareness
  • Effective stakeholder engagement to increase awareness of risks to governance and control
  • Proactively identify and reduce bank Risk across the supply chain

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Procurement operational and category buying experience.
• Deep awareness of risk in supply chain and third party risk.
• Risk modelling awareness.
• Effective Customer engagement skills.
• Data analytics and reporting experience.
• Excellent presentation skills.
Previous experience:

• Minimum 12 years procurement experience
• Professionally qualified (CIPS) (or working towards), Legal awareness (LLB) and/or experience in Financial Services
