AVP, Coverage Banker – Cross Border Origination- Investment Banking

Job Description:

As a Senior Coverage Banker within the newly established Cross Border Origination (CBO) team in the Investment Bank, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank’s strategic goals and expanding its footprint as a leading global Islamic investment bank. You will be instrumental in managing key client relationships, originating new business opportunities, and delivering tailored financial solutions to sovereigns, government-related entities (GREs), large corporates, and institutional clients across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management & Origination:

    • Act as a critical member of the CBO team, responsible for driving an active, client-focused business approach to meet the bank’s strategic goal of becoming the leading global Islamic investment bank.
    • Support the origination and relationship management efforts for existing and new clients, spanning sovereigns, GREs, large corporates, and institutional clients across the Middle East and beyond.
    • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and new market segments.

  • Market and Client Analysis:

    • Develop a deep understanding of the economic, financial, and operational dynamics of target markets, sectors, and clients.
    • Identify key trends and emerging opportunities within the market to facilitate business expansion and growth.
    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and markets to provide insights that drive value-added banking solutions.

    • Education & Qualifications:

      • Preferred:

        • Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
        • Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

      • Experience:

        • 10 to 12 years of experience within the Middle East, having worked in leading international or prominent regional financial institutions.
        • Proven track record in managing and originating business with large, complex clients (sovereigns, GREs, corporates, and institutions).
