Job Details

  1. Strategic oversight and culture
  1. Provide strategic oversight on Consume Protection (CP), ensuring that the bank’s policies and practices align with relevant regulations and the bank’s aspirations in relation to CP
  2. Work towards embedding CP principles in all relevant aspects of the bank’s operations
  3. Continuously assess and recommend improvements to the bank’s CP practices, based on feedback, monitoring efforts, and reviews of the outcomes of audits and compliance reviews
  4. Ensure there is a focus on CP in relevant strategic forums
  5. Review the content and effectiveness of CP related training and awareness programs
  1. Policy development and oversight
  1. Develop, update, and ensure the implementation of CP policies and procedures across the bank
  2. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to integrate these policies and procedures into their operations
  3. Maintain the mapping of policies and procedures to the CP regulations and standards and review changes to these documents in the spirit of CP
  1. Monitoring and reporting
  1. Independently monitor the effectiveness of CP measures across the bank and report on performance against set metrics. This includes identifying trends to pre-emptively address systemic issues in collaboration with risk management
  2. Oversee the process for managing and escalating significant CP incidents, understand the root cause issues and recommend corrective strategies
  3. Lead and coordinate formal reporting to the board or senior management relating to CP (including the annual CP report)
  1. Stakeholder engagement
  1. Act as the central point of contact for any CP related queries or reviews regulatory bodies on matters relating to CP ensuring alignment with compliance
